I was trying to get the feel of dawn over Atlantis,a little mist still hanging about, then two darts scream over, and Our Heroes scramble into action...
This is a remix of the Lorne portrait, wot I done earlier.  Pencil portrait,highlight and eyecolour in Photoshop. The background is *entirely* digital, (apart from the hand-drawn darts) some airbrushed by hand (-the clouds and mist particularly, so watching all those Bob Ross programmes came in handy!) Water by Cap'n K. City of Atlantis from reference shot, considerably altered by moi. The digital bit took longer than the trad art. The dart contrails caused a lot of grief and about eight layers went to the bin before I got them. So, which category should I file this under; digital or trad? I adore the background... Altantis is to DIE FOR! I love the perspective.
And as for what to put it under... it's a tricky one. But I think somewhere there's one for mixed media, maybe that'll do?

Apparently the actor (Kavan Smith) wanted his name to be Marcus as it's his grandfather's name. So *of course* TPTB didn't go there.
I'm really pleased with the background myself.
Mixed media is apparently for pastel/oil/pencil/other media. It hasn't occurred to them that someone would mix digital/trad?
I did this for PegCon2-wait until you see the Shep remix!
